My Wellness Plan

I take my wellness as a future educator very seriously to prevent burnout in myself and to keep the classroom environment fun, positive, and energetic. I have used the HEARTcare model to hold myself steady and create a plan to promote my sustainable teaching practice. Some things I enjoy doing to keep myself grounded are:

  • Going for walks
  • Ensuring my preparation and planning is done ahead of time to minimize stress
  • Spending time with friends and family
  • Keeping my spaces at home and work clean and organized
  • Physical exercises
  • Watching movies or listening to music
  • Making art
  • Positive affirmations in my environment and that I use to ground myself
